RiskSTOP Ice Cube

Our Headquarters

RiskSTOP’s headquarters are at Mey House, Poundbury, in Dorset. Poundbury is the urban extension to the ancient market town of Dorchester, and is a development inspired by the Prince of Wales. Created in the late 1980s on Duchy of Cornwall land, it is home to more than 1,200 people and over 40 businesses.

Poundbury has received worldwide acclaim for its use of local architectural building styles and materials, its synergy with the environment by putting pedestrians rather than cars at the centre of the design and its use of ecologically sustainable materials.

Mey House, a two storey stone building, lies at the heart of the development. It takes its name from Mey Castle, a former home of the late Queen Mother, where The Prince of Wales spent time as a child.

For RiskSTOP, it is a case of “coming home” as Danny Lillington and Trevor Smith established the business in Poundbury back in 2001.

Managing Director Danny Lillington said: “Poundbury is the ideal headquarters for RiskSTOP as not only are our offices practical and pleasant to work in, but the ethos behind the development is in total harmony with our own ideals.

“We take our responsibilities as world citizens very seriously.  We have an on-going programme to reduce our carbon footprint, and through our charitable work we support those in need, both in our own locality and abroad.”
